Cascadia Eco Modular | Metal Modular Spaces we live and work in.
Introduce yourself and your background.
Hi, Im Knome! I’m an industrial artisan and metal fabricator. I’ve been working in industrial space for nearly 18 years and run a successful architectural fabrication shop; creating structural and architectural solutions. We create modern interior and exterior resolve, primarily stair and rail systems in residential applications.
We are headed towards a business transition, joining in the response to the global climate and housing crisis. I have been working for years developing and refining a vision of an Eco-Industrial Park model; Integrating the metal and fabrication industry with sustainable manufacturing practices, (specifically in the home/space building sphere), through the up-cycling of the cargo container surplus of the globe.
An exciting prospect and personal passion!
A plan has been laid out, the warehouse and shop are ready, and now I need YOU. We need the support of the greater building community that sees possibility and shares in the excitement for bringing expansive solutions to these big challenges ahead.
I am asking for capital support from individuals and investors that are excited about the possibilities this project brings to the table! Homeowners/landowners, builders and architects interested in bringing greater value to their new projects, building site or existing property, and are looking for a modern, elegant and equitable solution to invest in.
We need capital support to test our larger theories of structural, mechanical and technical integration, to make these modular units exceptional and accessible, and to launch with a resolved and tested product!
We will start with a shell (which we have in-house!) and go methodically from there; walking through 7 steps of transformation of the modular unit. I am seeking your support as we move through each stage of the build, sharing with you the dynamic processes of metal fabrication.

We will bring our exciting progress to you with sweet videos, personal stories, photos of our beautiful warehouse and killer metal process shots, updating this campaign weekly as the work unfolds. We will also be sending out cool incentives/perks, and many thank you’s along the way, including adding potential clients to our wait lists as we dive deeper into design and fabrication.
This campaign is not only about money, but as importantly about a message. About making some noise and letting as many people know what we’re doing. We absolutely need capital to move forward, BUT I also find great value in spreading the word to the greater building and creative community. So, if monetary participation is not possible, then I also would so appreciate you simply passing on this project to those who might be interested; those in housing theory, those studying/working in the built environment, in art, in architecture, in pertinent community building projects, in sustainable design, in environmental work, in government planning… or even in me!
To ease your noise making, please use the sharing tools indiegogo has provided.
