Jaju Pierogi: Help Us Build Out Our Huge Kitchen! | We signed up for a 3500 square foot space. Now we’ve got to fill it with things to make pierogi!
We started making pierogi on Sundays in winter 2016. We went to a few farmers markets a month on Saturdays. Our first market, we went with 45 boxes and sold out in an hour. And we thought… I guess this could be a thing.
After a year of making pierogi on nights and weekends, we left our jobs last January and took pierogi full-time. It’s been a grind, but by the summer, we felt like we were gaining serious momentum. We did 17 farmers markets, a few events a week, and started selling to stores. By the start of November, we were in 40 stores, and we know the potential is endless! We recently expanded our distribution into New Hampshire and Rhode Island, and aim to be throughout New England by the spring. What’s next after that? Well, we’ll just keep going.
What We Need
- We are seeking $25,000 through Indiegogo, but will likely need closer to $100K for our buildout, which we will pursue through other loans.
- In exchange for your help, you get pierogi love in all kinds of forms!
- We will use money raised towards: Purchase and installation of hood & Ansul system, walk-in freezer, blast chiller, updated packaging, plumbing & sinks, flooring, ceilings, and all the other costs that will certainly pop up as we build this place out!
