Livin’ That Honky Tonk Dream | I’m searching for a little monetary kindness as I fulfill my dream of opening my very own honky tonk
Hey ya’ll! My names Kali, but I bet we’ve met!
My back story with Neon Moon is one of chance, vision, and perseverance.
It all started nearly a year ago, when I walked into the building that would become the home of my honky tonk dreams, and I didn’t even know it. I came on as design consultant on a bar project led by a few friends and over the last year, I’ve ended up the last one standing. What brought me here is very important to my personal development, but it is a long and tiresome tale. One day, you can come sit on the other side of my bar and I’ll tell you all about it.
Since that first moment inside the building that would become Neon Moon, there’s been such incredible parallel growth within the space and my knowledge of what it takes to not only open a business, but repurpose a one-hundred year old saw mill. It’s hell, but I’m cultivating a legacy that I hope will benefit my community and continue on long after I’m gone.
After the initial loan and investor, it became clear that the scope of the undertaking was larger, monetarily, than I imagined it would be. My loaners have agreed to increase my loan for the bar, but the reason you’re reading this is because this gal needs some working capital to pay the bills in the final months before I can open my doors to you lovely critters.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’ve been typing through tears of gratitude and strength to get to the end here.
Shout out to my family, blood and chosen. Shout out to the ones who truly believe in this dream with me. Thank you Mom, I love you.
