Mon Macaron: Retail Location in 2020! | Mon Macaron is owned and operated by two moms! Help us reach our 2020 expansion goals!
Mon Macaron started with a Kitchenaid Mixer and a dream. Two moms (Autumn and Brittany) started this company and operate every aspect of it while balancing motherhood with six kids between their families. In five short months, Mon Macaron has grown exponentially and introduced a unique and sensational new offering: hand airbrushed corporate logo macarons.
With this new technique, Mon Macaron has taken on corporate clients for gifts and events! Our hope is to expand this portion of our business as edible branding is a popular and fun way to show off a company logo or brand.
We have no background in pastry nor are we chefs or attended pasty school. We are 100% self-taught and perfected this advanced technique of macaron making. Old fashioned hard work and perseverance has allowed us to double and then triple sales, ending 2019 with five-figure sales accomplishments!
The reason for this campaign is spreading the love of macarons with nationwide shipping and reaching our local communities with a retail location. Funding from this campaign will help us achieve both of those goals with 1) new equipment that allows us to create, store, and decorate macarons and 2) fund build-out and equipment costs for our first micro-retail location in Raleigh-Durham.

The impact of helping us at this critical time in our small business venture is believing in small businesses, handcrafted products, small-batch delicious baked goods, and most importantly the two moms who opened this business to teach our kids the value of hard work and dedication.
The community will be impacted by a macaron business because it will help the local economy and employ countless others in the community. We plan to partner with local pasty programs and community college foodservice programs to employ young people ready to learn a new skill.
Risks & Challenges
As two previously stay-at-home moms, we did not start this business with any funding or loans. We are a 100% cash positive business and have organically grown our sales to several thousand per month as a brand new business starting in August 2019. We built this company on our own with minimal overhead and the challenge with growth is that we have to find creative ways to fund expansion.
